Rooibos

Rooibos is a shrub native to South Africa, discovered by the indigenous Khoisan centuries ago and later popularized by Dutch settlers in the 17th century. It is known for its high antioxidant content and possesses anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce oxidation and inflammation in the body. It also contains aspalathin, a unique compound with potential benefits for cardiovascular health by lowering blood pressure and improving blood circulation. In addition to its health benefits, rooibos is also appreciated for its distinctive aromatic profile. It has a brilliant red color and a sweet, fresh taste, with notes of vanilla and bitter almond. To prepare Rooibos, use 15 to 20 g per liter of slightly hot water (infusion temperature 100°C) to optimize the detoxifying and invigorating properties of the blend. Rooibos can be enjoyed hot or iced, as a relaxing drink or as a 28-day course of treatment for an effective, soothing detox.
